Just received word that I will be reading from my forthcoming collection of New and Selected Poetry: “Wannabe Hooche Mama Gallery of Realities’ Red Dress Code” on 30 November 2016, 7:00 pm! Columbia University!
See you there! –for this interactive performance; there willl be grapes!
I could not be happier about this!
I already plan to read my new signature poem, “HIGGINSON MATTERS IN MGNIFICENT CULTURE OF MYOPIA” that I’ve read at N’Namdi’s in Detroit (where the interactive element involved the audience [and the author, who is part of the audience] eating peaches, as the poem indicates, a wonderful metaphor, by the way), and at the Pulitzer Fine Arts Center in St. Louis, MO. on 15 April 2016 (where the fruit was grapes).
My video poem, “The Glory Prelude” remains on exhibit in the Pulitzer through 2 July 2016, with video poems by John Bresland, “Mangoes” and John Lucas and Claudia Rankine, “White Inc.” –please stop by and see the entire show, 3716 Washingto Boulevard, St. Louis, MO63108
(images from my video “The Glory Prelude” and from the courtyard reading of “Higginson Matters” with grapes).
I am dressed in a red top both to honor the return of my leased 2014 Juke with red side mirrors, and for the “Red Dress Code” in my forthcoming book, #11 for me, and the first reading from the new book, available in September 2016 and already for pre-oder on Amazon.
Now for a little red dress code:
THIS COULD NOT BE A BETTER DEVIOPMENT!
PLEASE JOIN ME FOR THIS EVENT!
